Includes the text of the Admonition (by John Feilde and Thomas Wilcox, including the second part, intitled A view of Popishe abuses, yet remaining in the English Church) printed in sections, each followed by Whitgift's reply
"A Letter of master Gualter ... to ... the bishop of Ely" dated at Zurich,June 9, 1572 and a letter from Henry Bullinset to the Bishop of Winchester, dated March 12, 1572, in Latin and English, 1. 8-11 at end; "A brief answere to certain Pamphlets spred abroade of late [i.e.an address dated Sept. 30,1572], beginning: Grace and peace from God, An exhortation to the byshops todeal brotherly with theyr brethren, and An exhortation to the bishops and their clergie to answer a little booke that came forthe the last Parliament," 1.16-18, and "Articles collected out of the former Admonition, and vntruely sayd (of the fautors of thea Admonition) to be falsified," 1.19-21a, at end
