ja 東京高等師範学校教授岡倉由三郎(英語・英文学)の旧蔵書2,417 点から成るコレクション。岡倉教授の兄は美術界の先覚者、岡倉天心である。岡倉文庫の内容は英語・ラテン語・朝鮮語・英文学等、多くの分野にまたがっており稀書も多いが、特に幕末から明治初年にかけての英・独・仏・蘭語の学習書や辞典は貴重である。
昭和15(1940)年9月受入。
【所在情報】一般書架に配架。ただし禁帯出のものは和装本書庫別室2に保管。

en A collection assembled from the previous collection of 2,417 books by Tokyo Higher Normal School Professor Okakura Yoshisaburo (English linguistics and literature). Professor Okakura’s older brother Okakura Tenshin, was a pioneer in the art world. The Okakura Collection includes many difficult to obtain books covering many fields, such as English, Latin, and Korean languages and British literature. Of particular value are the dictionaries and study materials in English, German, French and Dutch from the end of the Tokugawa period to the beginning of the Meiji era.
Received in September 1940.
