教育錦絵とは、文部省が明治6（1873）年ごろに発行した幼児家庭用教材です。いずれも大判の錦絵で、「文部省製本所発行記」の朱印が押されています。当館では宮木文庫の他に、その後に収集したものも含め、95種の文部省発行による錦絵を所蔵しています。

Kyoiku nishiki-e are educational materials for young children that were published by the Ministry of Education around 1873 (明治 6年). All of them are large-format nishiki-e prints and bear the red seal "文部省製本所発行記". In addition to the Miyaki Collection, our library holds 95 types of nishiki-e prints published by the Ministry of Education, including those collected later.
